Event Schedule Announced
1. Packet Pickup Information
- Friday, March 8 [3:00 PM – 6:00 PM]
- Saturday, March 9 [10:00 AM – 6:00 PM]
Location: Hawaii Convention Center, 1F Honolulu Festival Booth Area
(1801 Kalakaua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815)
*Parking fee at Hawaii Convention Center is a flat rate of $15 (Note: Parking validation is not available)
◆For EKIDEN Team Entries◆
We kindly request that the representative of each EKIDEN team pick up the race packets for all team members collectively. Individual pickups within the team are not allowed.
◆For Kids Challenge Participants◆
Participants in the Kids Challenge do not need to pick up their packets in advance. Registration will take place on-site on the event day (9:00 AM - 10:00 AM).
◆For Rainbow EKIDEN, 5K Fun Run & Walk Participants◆
Please note that there will be no packet pickup on the race day for Rainbow EKIDEN and 5K Fun Run & Walk participants.
*Please be aware that the availability of t-shirt sizes is limited. We appreciate your understanding in advance.
2. Race Day Information (Sunday, March 10)
*Note: Award ceremony will be conducted as soon as the winning teams are determined.
◆For Rainbow EKIDEN Participants (Team Entry)◆
[Assembly Time]
- The Opening Ceremony will commence at 7:00 AM. There will also be a Race Briefing so please ensure to arrive on time.
[Timing Chip-equipped Sash]
- The timing chip is attached to the sash.
- Please remember to bring the sash provided during the packet pickup to the race. In the event of forgetting the sash on the race day, an alternative sash will be provided upon payment of a $200 deposit. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the originally provided sash, with a deduction of a $30 handling fee. If the sash is lost, the $200 deposit will not be refunded.
- The timing chip attached to the sash will be collected at the finish area after the race. You are welcome to keep the sash after the chip have been removed.
[Bib Numbers]
- Please ensure that the bib for the final runner is “###-5”.
- For teams where one person runs twice, please make sure to switch the bib for the second run.
◆For 5K Fun Run & Walk Participants◆
[Assembly Time]
- The Opening Ceremony will commence at 7:00 AM. There will also be a Race Briefing so please ensure to arrive on time.
[Timing]
- There will be no time tracking for this category. No timing chip required. Please only wear the provided bib.
[Course]
- The course is same as the EKIDEN route.
◆Kids Challenge Participants◆
[Assembly Time]
- Please complete the on-site registration on the event day at the registration booth between 9:00 – 10:00 AM. An event bib will be provided.
- Race Briefing will be held at 10:00 AM in front of the stage.
[Timing]
- There will be no time tracking for this category. No timing chip required. Please only wear the provided bib.
[Other]
- Accompaniment (running alongside) by adult family members is permitted. If your family members wish to run alongside, please notify the staff at the on-site registration and we will provide a bib for the adult as well.
◆After the Race◆
- The timing chip attached to the sash will be collected at the finish area after the race. You are welcome to keep the sash after the chip removal.
- All participants in the EKIDEN and 5K Fun Run & Walk will receive a commemorative medal. Please pick up your medal at the finish area after the race.
- All Kids Challenge participants will receive a commemorative gift. Please pick up your gift at the finish area after the race.
- Refreshment services, including drinks (cold tea) and food (Spam musubi), will be available at the refreshment tent.
- Race results and announcements of winning teams will be posted near the stage as soon as they are determined.
- The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on the stage once the winning teams are determined.
- Race results will be posted on the website after the event, as soon as possible.
