Announcement Regarding the Next Event

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, we were proud to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN.

Despite being postponed from its original date in March, we were delighted to welcome a record number of runners from Hawaii and the U.S. mainland. Seeing so many people come together to run, cheer, and celebrate with us made this milestone event truly special.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part, as well as our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the event possible. Your understanding, support, and enthusiasm have meant so much to us, especially throughout the postponement and rescheduling of this year's event.

Looking Ahead to the Next Event

Because the 10th Anniversary event was postponed to August 2026, only approximately six months would separate the 10th and 11th events if the next event were held as originally planned in March 2027.

After carefully considering the needs of our participants, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and event staff, as well as the time needed to properly prepare for the next event, we have decided to take this opportunity to pause and look ahead to the next chapter of Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN.

As a result, the 11th Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN, originally planned for March 2027, will not be held next year as scheduled.

Rather than rushing into the next event, we would like to take the time to carefully plan and create an even more exciting and memorable experience for everyone who has supported Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN over the years.

We will share details about the timing and plans for the next event on our official website as soon as they are finalized.

Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN has always been about more than just running. It is about bringing people together, sharing the aloha spirit, and creating memories with friends, family, and our community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey over the past 10 years.

We look forward to continuing this journey together and creating many more special moments in the years ahead.
