Aloha DANCE CONVENTIOＮ 2024 Announced
Details of the Aloha DANCE CONVENTION 2024 (sponsored by the Honolulu Festival Foundation) to be held on March 9, 2024, on the eve of Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN 2024, have been announced.
Creating Opportunities and Inspiration in Hawaii
The Aloha DANCE CONVENTION started in 2015 with the aim to "creating opportunities, excitement and inspiration in Hawaii". Its 5th convention was held in March 2019 with 12 teams, 7 from Hawaii and 5 from Japan, and put all of their efforts into the limited show time of 3 minutes to compete in a heated and exciting competition.
In March 2020, the 6th competition was scheduled to be held but was unfortunately cancelled due to the pandemic. Since then, the competition has been unable to be held due to the prolonged implementation of pandemic control measures. Finally, after 4 years, the event will be back again in March 2024.
This event will be held on the eve of the Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN, and will be an official event of the Honolulu Festival, one of the largest "cultural exchange events" in Hawaii. The Aloha DANCE CONVENTION aims to promote dance social interactions in Hawaii and to continue to provide a venue that will inspire and resonate with our guests.
